Self Help Skills Program

The staff provides direct life skills, training, support and community access.  The staff provides information for individuals to access generic programs and services.  The program is available to persons recognized and designated by the Community Living British Columbia.

Semi Independent Living Program

Individuals in this program have the direct support of staff “living” with them to the extent that this is needed.  Individuals in this program may have staff with them for a minimum of 4 hours a day or as much as 24 hour support.  Individuals make their own decisions in their lives with the staff as support and guidance.  This program is often a stepping stone for an individual moving from a parents home or a residential setting, to move to a less dependent situation such as Self Help Skills.

Stepping Stone Rehabilitation Program

The Stepping Stone program is tailored to be specific to adults with acquired brain injury individual needs.  The program provides rehabilitation within the survivor’s home.  This includes re-teaching skills that may have been lost as a result of the brain injury.  The other avenue of rehabilitation is in the form of re-teaching skills in a specific skills area outside of the home.  For example, social appropriateness and vocational re-training.

Supported Work Program

The Support Work program aims to find jobs for adults with special needs and to support them at work sites.  The program is available to persons recognized and designated by the Community Living British Columbia.
